Marco Trungelliti, the 36-year-old Argentine clay specialist who surged to a career-high No. 76 after reaching the Marrakech ATP 250 final last week—defeating Henrique Rocha and Kamil Majchrzak before falling to Rafael Jodar—meets 19-year-old Norwegian Nicolai Budkov Kjaer in the Barcelona Open qualifying first round on outdoor clay. Trungelliti's strong recent clay form (multiple deep runs) and experience give him an edge over the No. 139-ranked Budkov Kjaer, who exited Monte Carlo qualifying early to Damir Džumhur despite a prior win over Ilya Ivashka. With no head-to-head history, traders view this as closely contested, factoring Kjaer's height (191 cm) and youth against Trungelliti's tactical savvy; no injuries reported, mild Barcelona weather expected.
