The Milwaukee Brewers hold a commanding position atop the NL Central at 45-27, six-plus games ahead of the Chicago Cubs (40-36), entering their three-game series at American Family Field beginning June 26. Milwaukee’s home strength and consistent recent play stand in contrast to Chicago’s depleted pitching staff, with starters including Matthew Boyd, Edward Cabrera, Justin Steele, and others sidelined or limited by injuries. The Cubs have shown flashes of offensive momentum but face a tough divisional road test against a Brewers club that has maintained the best record in the division through mid-June. Schedule positioning and roster health remain the primary variables heading into the matchup.
