The wide-open field for the 2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind reflects evenly distributed implied probabilities across dozens of qualified players from the top 70 in the FedExCup standings. Recent performances at the Wyndham Championship, combined with strong course history at the demanding Memphis layout, have kept contenders like Scottie Scheffler, Ludvig Åberg, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Rose closely bunched without a clear standout. Playoff positioning, rest advantages, and variable weather factors further balance the matchup, as the event's $20 million purse and 750 FedExCup points reward consistent ball-striking and putting over four rounds starting August 13. This depth underscores why trader consensus shows minimal separation heading into the first playoff stop.
