This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Peru Liga 1 for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Peru Liga 1 for the 2026 season per the rules of Peru Liga 1 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Peru Liga 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 Liga 1 Clausura phase and combined standings remain tightly bunched after roughly 20-21 matches per side, with Deportivo Garcilaso, Alianza Lima, Sport Huancayo, and Sporting Cristal occupying the top positions while mid-table sides post comparable points totals and goal differences. This parity, combined with the league's dual-tournament format feeding into overall classification and playoff qualification, leaves no single club with a decisive edge for runner-up. Newly promoted sides UTC Cajamarca and Deportivo Moquegua have posted competitive early results, injecting further uncertainty into the race alongside established squads like Universitario, Los Chankas, and Cienciano that show strong home form and recent momentum. The market's narrow spread across 18 outcomes accurately captures this depth of competition and absence of a runaway candidate.
