Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina lead the tightly bunched field for the 2026 Wimbledon title due to their proven power games and recent hard-court consistency, which translate well to grass. Sabalenka holds the WTA No. 1 ranking after strong 2026 results including deep Australian Open runs, while Rybakina’s serve and athleticism have kept her in contention following key victories over top rivals. Iga Świątek, the defending champion, sits lower amid variable recent form after clay-season focus. Rising talents like Mirra Andreeva add depth, with the wide-open nature of recent majors and the shift to grass courts leaving multiple contenders viable as the tournament nears.
