The Ukrainian Premier League's 2026-27 runner-up race remains tightly contested early in the campaign, with Shakhtar Donetsk expected to claim the title once again. Multiple clubs, including Karpaty Lviv, Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, Epitsentr Kamianets-Podilskyi, Polissya Zhytomyr, and Dynamo Kyiv, sit level on points after the opening fixtures, reflecting balanced squad depth and similar pre-season expectations. Dynamo Kyiv's recent player losses and transitional period have tempered their historical strength, while rising sides like Karpaty and Kryvbas benefit from strong starts and European ambitions. This parity, combined with the absence of a clear second favorite, sustains broad trader consensus around even implied probabilities across the field.
