Gian van Veen enters the World Series of Darts matchup as the 69% favorite due to his elite recent form and scoring power, with averages exceeding 100 across recent majors including a 105+ showing at the 2026 World Darts Championship. The young Dutch player has demonstrated consistent high checkout percentages and strong leg-winning rates against top competition, while veteran Jonny Clayton, at 51, has posted more variable results in 2026 events like the World Matchplay and Premier League despite occasional strong nights. Head-to-head history is mixed across Premier League and US Darts Masters clashes, but van Veen's youth, current momentum, and higher floor in three-dart averages give traders confidence in his edge on neutral or favorable conditions. No confirmed injuries or roster issues alter the setup for either player.
