**AZ Alkmaar leads trader sentiment at 43.5% implied probability for the most clean sheets in the 2026-27 Eredivisie, with a tight cluster of mid-table sides (Twente, Utrecht, Go Ahead Eagles, Fortuna Sittard, Heerenveen, Groningen) grouped around 36-37.5%, while PSV, Feyenoord, and Ajax sit lower at 25-30%.** This positioning reflects AZ’s early-season defensive discipline, including a strong start with minimal goals conceded across initial fixtures and a reputation for organized backlines under consistent management. The bunching among the 36-37.5% group stems from comparable recent form, historical clean-sheet rates from the prior campaign (where sides like Utrecht, Twente, and Groningen featured among leaders), and expectations for tactically compact setups that prioritize low concession rates over expansive attacks. The big three trail partly due to their higher-pressing, possession-dominant styles that often trade defensive solidity for offensive output, creating more exposure in transitions. With the season only weeks old, limited sample size, roster adjustments, and variable fixture difficulty keep the market competitive, as any sustained run of shutouts or key goalkeeper/injury developments could rapidly shift probabilities among these defensively oriented clubs.
