Frederik Andersen's elite goaltending—highlighted by a 22-save shutout in Game 1 and consistent stops thereafter—stifled Ottawa's offense across low-scoring tilts (2-0, 3-2 in 2OT, 2-1), while Senators' absences of top defensemen Jake Sanderson and Artem Zub in Game 4 exacerbated their defensive woes. This dominant Hurricanes performance, rooted in superior regular-season form as East's top seed, drove unanimous trader consensus on the swift series end, eliminating any over scenario.
