The wide-open nature of the 2026 Week 1 passing touchdowns leader market stems from evenly matched projections and high single-game variance across the slate. Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, Justin Herbert, and Matthew Stafford sit atop trader consensus due to strong supporting casts, favorable implied efficiencies in their respective matchups, and recent form that produced elevated touchdown rates in 2025. Dak Prescott, Baker Mayfield, and Brock Purdy follow closely, backed by proven volume in high-powered offenses, while longshots like Josh Allen and C.J. Stroud remain viable given dual-threat elements or favorable defensive opponents. Official injury reports, final depth charts, and weather conditions for outdoor venues add further uncertainty, preventing any quarterback from establishing a clear edge in expected passing scores.
