Vladimir Sidorenko’s recent surge, including a 3-0 victory at the WTT United States Smash and standout points earned in Los Angeles, has created genuine parity against world No. 2 Tomokazu Harimoto despite the significant ranking gap. Harimoto’s inconsistent results in 2026, including losses to lower-seeded opponents, have tempered trader confidence in a straightforward favorite outcome. Key variables that could shift the 50-50 balance include Harimoto’s forehand aggression and experience in high-stakes rallies versus Sidorenko’s improved consistency and defensive resilience on the current surface. Any late injury updates, serve adjustments, or momentum swings in the opening games would likely move implied probabilities quickly in this closely matched men’s singles encounter.
