In the Sarasota Challenger round of 16 on green clay, Duje Ajdukovic (#291) and Darwin Blanch (#254) meet in a rematch after Blanch's straight-sets quarterfinal win over Ajdukovic at the 2025 Sofia Challenger on hard courts. Both advanced yesterday with convincing first-round triumphs—Ajdukovic defeating Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg 6-4, 6-3, and local hope Blanch ousting Federico Agustin Gomez—showcasing straight-sets efficiency. The 25-year-old Croatian Ajdukovic brings clay-court experience from a mixed European swing (4-4 recently on red clay, including Split and Zadar deep runs), while 18-year-old lefty Blanch leverages youth, Elo parity (281 vs. 278), and home-crowd energy on the faster surface. No injury concerns reported ahead of this best-of-three-sets clash.
