Ranked No. 154, the sixth seed Bolt grinded out three-set wins in the first two rounds against James McCabe and qualifier Tung-Lin Wu, leveraging 80% first-serve points won and a 75% tiebreak record amid solid 2026 Challenger form (12-4 overall). Noguchi, at No. 215, impressed with straight-set triumphs over Clement Chidekh and fourth seed Coleman Wong, but his inconsistent hard-court results trail Bolt's 56% career Challenger win rate on the surface.
