Third-seeded Hugo Dellien, ranked No. 155 with a strong clay-court pedigree including multiple Challenger titles, advanced to the Sarasota Challenger round of 16 by defeating Genaro Alberto Olivieri 6-2, 7-5 on April 8, signaling solid early form on the outdoor clay surface. Unseeded qualifier Kilian Feldbausch, the 20-year-old Swiss at No. 431, earned his spot with a gritty qualifying run—edging Juan Jose Bianchi 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 and routing Cleeve Harper 6-1, 6-3—before upsetting local wild card Cannon Kingsley 6-3, 7-5 in the first round. With no head-to-head history, trader consensus favors Dellien's experience over Feldbausch's momentum, though Florida's spring weather could introduce delays on the fast-drying clay.
