Juan Pablo Ficovich enters as the clear favorite over Daniel Milavsky in the Mexico City Challenger first-round clash on clay, buoyed by his No. 198 ATP ranking versus Milavsky's No. 367 and superior surface history with a 352-246 career clay record. Ficovich advanced to the San Luis Potosi Challenger quarterfinals last week, falling 6-4, 1-6, 4-6 to Pacheco Mendez despite strong clay form earlier this season, including a Morelia final. Milavsky, a first-time Mexico City entrant, arrives off a hard-court M25 Las Vegas quarterfinal loss and lacks 2026 clay matches, posting 0-0 on the surface. High altitude favors aggressive play, but no head-to-head exists; watch for Milavsky's power adaptation against Ficovich's baseline grinding.
