Seventh-seeded Mariano Navone, world No. 60 and clay-court specialist with a 2026 Challenger title in Cap Cana, faces qualifier Daniel Merida Aguilar, No. 136, in the Tiriac Open Bucharest ATP 250 final on clay. Navone advanced via a grueling three-set semifinal over Botic van de Zandschulp, saving two match points, while Merida stunned Fabian Marozsan in another thriller, extending his upset run through the draw. Navone holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge; both players show strong recent clay form amid earlier tournament rain delays, with Navone's higher ranking and experience shaping trader consensus toward him despite Merida's momentum and reach advantage.
