Aleksandar Vukic (ATP No. 87) enters the Barcelona Open clay-court qualifiers against Otto Virtanen (No. 133) as the higher-ranked player with greater ATP experience and a career-high of 48, but Virtanen leads their head-to-head 2-0, including a dominant 6-2, 6-2 Dubai qualifier win on hard courts in February. Both lost in Monte-Carlo Masters qualifying last week—Vukic 6-2, 6-4 to Pedro Martinez, Virtanen 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 to Ethan Quinn—highlighting early clay struggles in the European swing. No injuries or withdrawals reported; expect baseline exchanges on outdoor Pista 2 in mild Barcelona spring weather, with best-of-three sets favoring Vukic's consistency over Virtanen's power.
