Beibit Zhukayev, ranked No. 340 with a 3-1 clay record in 2026, holds an edge into the Mexico City Challenger round of 16 against No. 496 Corentin Denolly, buoyed by a quarterfinal run at last week's San Luis Potosi Challenger on similar high-altitude clay and a dominant 6-1, 6-4 first-round win over Alejandro Hayen featuring nine aces from his 6'6" serving frame. Denolly, a left-handed clay veteran with stronger lifetime surface stats, gained momentum via a gritty comeback upset over higher-ranked Marc-Andrea Huesler in his opener. No head-to-head exists; Mexico City's elevation favors power players amid no reported injuries or withdrawals.
