Durham Women host The Blaze Women at Riverside Ground in the Vitality Blast Women on July 5, with both sides vying for playoff positioning in a tightly contested group stage. Durham enter with five wins from eight matches, powered by strong all-round contributions from Hollie Armitage, Mady Villiers, and Heather Graham, plus a recent 32-run victory over Hampshire. The Blaze sit just above them in the table after six wins in seven outings, highlighted by Charli Knott’s all-round impact and a dominant nine-wicket win over Essex, though they suffered a seven-wicket defeat to Durham in their May meeting at Trent Bridge. Home advantage and recent momentum shape the matchup, while both teams’ middle orders and spin options will influence chasing or defending totals on what is typically a balanced pitch.
