This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Louisiana. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Louisiana, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Voter turnout in Louisiana’s November 3, 2026 U.S. Senate general election remains difficult to pin down because the contest is widely viewed as non-competitive.** With Republican nominee Julia Letlow holding a strong structural advantage in a solidly Republican state against Democrat Jamie Davis, the race is unlikely to generate the intense mobilization seen in battlegrounds. Midterm turnout historically varies with national political climate, down-ballot contests, and local factors such as weather or get-out-the-vote efforts, yet recent primary and runoff participation hovered well below historical jungle-primary levels. Traders therefore assign nearly equal probabilities across multiple turnout brackets, reflecting uncertainty over whether baseline midterm participation will be lifted by broader enthusiasm or suppressed by the lopsided Senate matchup. Late developments that could shift the distribution include national polling trends, major campaign spending surges, or any unexpected state-level ballot measures that alter voter engagement in the final weeks.
