**Russia’s September 2026 State Duma elections feature a 5% proportional threshold for party-list seats.** Yabloko, the sole registered party openly campaigning on an anti-war platform and calls for peace and freedom, last cleared just 1.3% nationally in 2021. Recent polling places its support near 3% overall (slightly higher among younger or likely voters but still below the barrier). Intensified administrative and legal pressure since late 2025—including fines and prosecutions of leaders and activists for past social-media activity, “extremist symbols,” or “discrediting the armed forces,” plus foreign-agent designations—has disqualified multiple prominent candidates and restricted campaign operations. The Central Election Commission registered the party’s federal list in late July 2026, yet these constraints, combined with the party’s limited regional infrastructure outside a few areas and the broader dominance of United Russia plus systemic opposition blocs, leave little room for a threshold breakthrough. Trader pricing aligns with these structural and polling realities rather than any near-term reversal.
