Jessica Pegula, the defending Credit One Charleston Open champion and top seed, advanced to the final after four grueling three-set victories, including a semifinal thriller over Iva Jovic, logging nearly 10 hours on court despite a left knee injury that sidelined her in February. Yuliia Starodubtseva, ranked No. 89 and a last-minute main draw entrant, reached her maiden WTA final by upsetting No. 5 Madison Keys 6-1, 6-4 in the semis, building on straight-set wins earlier. Their first head-to-head on green clay favors Pegula's strong Charleston history (15-2 in recent matches) and higher ranking, though Starodubtseva's momentum and Pegula's fatigue from a packed draw introduce upset potential in this WTA 500 showdown.
