Hamad Medjedovic rides momentum from his straight-sets upset over No. 3 seed Alex de Minaur in the Barcelona Open round of 16, advancing to face higher-ranked Nuno Borges in the clay-court quarterfinals. The 22-year-old Serb, ATP No. 83, recently claimed the Naples Challenger title to climb 34 spots, showcasing strong baseline play and improved clay adaptation. Borges, No. 50, secured his spot with a gritty win over Tomas Martin Etcheverry, building on a solid R32 victory, though he enters off a Monte Carlo first-round loss. No prior head-to-head exists; traders weigh Medjedovic's hot form against Borges' experience and ranking edge on the slower surface, with no reported injuries.
