Hamad Medjedovic enters the Barcelona Open quarterfinals with surging momentum after upsetting third seed Alex de Minaur 6-3, 6-4 in the round of 16, securing the biggest win of his career and his first ATP 500 quarterfinal at age 22 and world No. 88. Nuno Borges, ranked No. 52, matched the feat by ousting clay specialist Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-3, 7-6(4), reaching his deepest run at this event on his favored surface. With no head-to-head history, trader consensus hinges on Medjedovic's explosive baseline aggression versus Borges' resilient all-court game and recent form, amid optimal clay conditions at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona.
