Top-seeded Yibing Wu (ATP 115), riding a straight-sets quarterfinal win over Daniel Dutra da Silva (6-4, 7-6(4)), meets surging American Darwin Blanch (ATP 254) in the Sarasota Challenger semifinals on green clay. Wu, showing resilience after defeating Kei Nishikori (6-3, 3-6, 6-1) in the round of 16, leverages superior experience and ranking against the 18-year-old lefty prospect. Blanch impressed with upsets, including Federico Agustin Gomez (6-3, 1-1 ret.), Duje Ajdukovic (6-1, 6-2), and third seed Hugo Dellien (6-1, 7-5), fueled by home-crowd energy in Florida. No prior head-to-head; Wu's clay consistency edges Blanch's limited surface experience amid potential fatigue from qualifiers.
