Official National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 6 project a high of 96°F under sunny conditions with light northerly winds and only a 20% afternoon thunderstorm chance, keeping the peak in the mid-90s before any cooling outflows. This aligns with recent hot, dry conditions that produced 95–97°F readings on September 3–5 and matches the 97°F all-time record for the date. Model consensus supports limited intensification potential, though minor variations in timing of clouds or convection could shift the official maximum into the 94–95°F or 98–99°F bins. Market-implied odds concentrate on 96–97°F as the most probable range given these atmospheric patterns and historical September baselines near 86°F.
