**Recent heavy monsoon rainfall and persistent cloud cover are suppressing daytime highs in Lucknow, positioning 30–32°C as the market's leading outcomes for the highest temperature on September 5.** Active low-pressure systems and cyclonic circulations over the region have driven widespread rain and thundershowers, with Lucknow recording 59–115 mm in recent 24-hour periods—well above typical daily amounts. This maintains high humidity (often 80–95%), reduces solar insolation, and limits afternoon warming, consistent with official India Meteorological Department (IMD) guidance showing maxima near 30–31°C alongside 70–90% rain probabilities. Short-range forecasts from sources including the Met Office (31°C), The Weather Network (32°C), and others cluster tightly in the 30–32°C band, reflecting model consensus on continued steering patterns and moisture influx during peak monsoon season. Historical September averages hover near 32°C, but the current wet spell has produced below-normal readings (e.g., 30.5°C on September 2), supporting trader emphasis on the lower end of the typical range. Upcoming IMD updates and any shifts in the low-pressure track could refine these probabilities, though rain is expected to persist and cap extremes above 33°C at low implied odds.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=vilk
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
