Recent National Weather Service and private model guidance for Denver shows scattered thunderstorms on September 16 moderating overnight cooling, with forecast lows centered near 55–56 °F. This range sits between the market’s leading bins (51 °F or below at 50.0 % implied probability versus 70 °F or higher at 49.0 %), creating near parity as traders weigh the balance between radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies and residual moisture or light winds that could limit temperature drops. Historical September 16 lows average 49 °F, yet the current warm, unstable pattern favors values above the long-term mean. Key variables still in flux include exact cloud cover timing and boundary-layer mixing, both of which can shift the minimum by several degrees; fresh model runs and NWS updates expected in the next 24–48 hours will likely narrow the distribution ahead of market resolution.
