Recent forecast model runs from sources including GFS and regional guidance point to a mild spring day in Cape Town with moderate southerly winds, limited cloud cover, and peak heating near 21–23°C. This aligns with trader consensus favoring those outcomes at combined implied odds above 69%. September climatology shows average daily highs around 18–20°C, but a warmer spell earlier in the month has elevated baseline expectations. Key variables differentiating the narrow 21–24°C band include exact timing of maximum insolation, minor variations in boundary-layer mixing from Atlantic sea breezes, and any late-day cloud development that could suppress the peak by 1–2°C. No precipitation is expected, and official monitoring will resolve the market on observed maximum temperature.
