Lee enters with recent momentum after a straight-sets first-round win and benefits from home-country scheduling in a low-level event where local players often gain support. Malkin holds a WTA ranking near 987 with a mixed 5-5 recent record and prior ITF experience that could translate to better consistency in longer rallies. Both players lack extensive head-to-head history, making surface familiarity and current match fitness the primary variables. The hard-court conditions favor baseline aggression, while any late withdrawals or fatigue from the short turnaround could shift outcomes in this early-round matchup.
