Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Schwarber remain locked in a tight battle for the MLB home runs lead, with the Astros DH holding a slim edge in implied probability. Schwarber paces the majors with 23 homers through roughly 60 games for the Phillies, while Alvarez sits at 21-22 with a higher batting average, stronger on-base percentage, and elite slugging that reflects consistent power output. Both players' recent form, favorable ballpark environments, and projected remaining at-bats keep the race competitive, as several other sluggers trail by wider margins in the current standings. Trader consensus reflects this closely contested dynamic between the top two.
