The Pittsburgh Pirates enter this interleague series with a stronger 32-28 record and recent momentum, having captured four straight wins behind multi-home run outbursts including three-run shots from Oneil Cruz and Endy Rodríguez in Tuesday’s 10-6 victory at Daikin Park. Houston, sitting at 27-34 and fourth in the AL West, continues to battle a depleted roster with key contributors sidelined, including several pitchers on the injured list. The Pirates’ improved offensive output and pitching depth contrast with the Astros’ ongoing injury challenges and inconsistent results, shaping trader views on the matchup. Home/away splits and bullpen availability remain notable variables heading into the remaining games.
