The National League playoff picture entering September centers on division leaders Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Atlanta Braves holding firm atop the standings with strong records and first-round byes, positioning them to advance directly to the NLDS. Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs have separated in the wild-card race, while San Diego Padres cling to the final berth just 0.5 games ahead of Arizona Diamondbacks amid a tight September schedule. Recent form, including strong stretches by the Phillies and Brewers, has reinforced trader consensus on these clubs reaching the division series, though remaining games against contenders and potential tiebreakers could still shift seeding and wild-card matchups before the postseason begins on September 29.
