The 2026 NHL playoffs bracket locked in this week with all 16 teams clinched, positioning top seeds Carolina Hurricanes and Colorado Avalanche as trader favorites at 50% implied probability each to reach the Conference Finals, driven by their league-best records, Presidents' Trophy for Colorado, and lopsided first-round edges over Ottawa Senators (72% series win odds) and Los Angeles Kings. Eastern matchups pit Buffalo Sabres against Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning versus Montreal Canadiens, and Pittsburgh Penguins facing Philadelphia Flyers, whose weekend shootout clinched their spot. Western series feature Vegas Golden Knights vs. Utah Mammoth, Edmonton Oilers vs. Anaheim Ducks, and Dallas Stars vs. Minnesota Wild. No games played yet ahead of April 18 start; home-ice, goaltending, and power-play execution will shape early momentum in best-of-seven format.
