The single-game format of NFL Week 1 creates substantial variance in passing touchdown totals, leaving the leader market fragmented with no dominant favorite and implied probabilities clustered in single digits for the top names. Joe Burrow and Jared Goff sit at the front of trader consensus at 9.5% each, reflecting strong supporting casts and favorable early matchups for the Bengals and Lions, while Justin Herbert and Matthew Stafford follow at 8% on the strength of high-volume offenses and recent form. Multiple injury returns—including Patrick Mahomes from ACL surgery, Daniel Jones from Achilles repair, and Bo Nix from ankle issues—add uncertainty to several projected starters, further compressing probabilities across the field. Recent training camp reports and preseason trends underscore how offensive line health, receiver availability, and defensive schemes can swing one-week outputs dramatically, sustaining tight pricing even as the season opens.
