This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of Worlds 2026 is not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.**LCK and LPL squads dominate the 2026 Worlds picture, driving the 91.5% implied probability against a Western winner.** Hanwha Life Esports claimed MSI 2026, Gen.G captured the LCK season title with strong playoff runs from Chovy and Ruler, and the region earned four slots backed by superior international head-to-head results and Global Power Rankings depth. Bilibili Gaming, Anyone’s Legend, Top Esports, and Invictus Gaming give the LPL comparable domestic strength and recent MSI finalist pedigree. In contrast, G2 leads the LEC while LCS sides like LYON and Cloud9 show occasional flashes, yet both regions trail significantly in roster talent, macro execution, and cross-regional series outcomes. Historical patterns and current form leave Western teams with limited realistic paths past the Swiss or knockout stages.
