A presidential election is scheduled to take place in Brazil on October 4, 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate that wins this election. This market includes any potential second round. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Brazilian government, specifically the Superior Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, TSE) (e.g., https://dadosabertos.tse.jus.br/).Lula da Silva holds the strongest trader consensus as incumbent president seeking a fourth term, backed by consistent first-round polling leads of 38–42 percent and policy measures including expanded debt-relief programs and temporary fuel subsidies. Flávio Bolsonaro, the Liberal Party nominee and son of the ineligible former president, consolidates much of the right-wing vote but trails after June controversies involving audio recordings and a family dispute with Michelle Bolsonaro, from which the campaign has partially recovered. Other contenders such as Renan Santos, Ronaldo Caiado, and Romeu Zema remain in low single digits. With the first round set for October 4, recent polls show a narrowing but persistent gap, reflecting the two-round electoral system and the consolidation patterns shaping implied probabilities.
