Polymarket traders, committing real capital, price a 70% implied probability for Strait of Hormuz traffic—measured as a 7-day average of at least 60 ship transits per IMF Portwatch—returning to normal by June 30, buoyed by early signs of de-escalation despite the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports initiated April 12. Day-one transits reached 17 vessels amid selective enforcement allowing non-Iran-bound ships, countering a near-halt while Saudi Arabia presses Washington to lift restrictions fearing retaliatory disruptions elsewhere. Over 500 trapped vessels and surging oil risk premiums amplify economic incentives for resolution, aligning with IEA projections of two-month stabilization post-reopening and S&P Global forecasts of 25% recovery next week. Watch ceasefire expiry and U.S.-Iran talks for catalysts.
