The Amazonas Senate race for two seats in Brazil's 2026 elections features a fragmented field of nine registered candidates, including incumbents Eduardo Braga (MDB) and Plínio Valério (PSDB) seeking re-election alongside challengers such as Capitão Alberto Neto (PL), Wilson Lima (União Brasil), and others. Recent party conventions and candidate registrations finalized in early August have confirmed the ballot, but no statewide polls have emerged to clarify voter preferences or consolidation trends. With two winners determined by popular vote totals, the contest for second place remains closely matched as traders price high uncertainty across the field. Key factors sustaining the tightness include the absence of dominant frontrunners, limited campaign momentum, and the potential for late shifts from endorsements, regional alliances, or turnout patterns in Amazonas. Future developments such as the release of polling averages or major party coalitions could separate contenders before the October vote.
