Ayeni, ranked outside the top 400, has surged through qualifying—defeating Jake Delaney, Philip Sekulic, and upsetting higher-ranked Bernard Tomic in tiebreak sets during round one—but trails 0-1 in head-to-head after Kwon's three-set win over him in last year's Taipei ITF event. Kwon's superior rankings, hard-court experience, and momentum shape trader consensus, though Ayeni's big serving could test him in a potential upset scenario.
