Henrique Rocha's flawless run without dropping a set in the Oeiras 3 Challenger—straight-set wins over Tom Gentzsch, Rei Sakamoto, and a dominant 6-0, 7-5 quarterfinal over Pablo Llamas Ruiz—fuels trader focus on his momentum into this clay-court semifinal against qualifier Roman Safiullin. The No. 126-ranked Portuguese benefits from home crowd support and a 15-4 clay record in 2026, including a recent Brasilia Challenger title. Safiullin, at No. 226, has grinded six matches, upsetting third seed Luca van Assche 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 before a tense 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(1) quarterfinal over Jaime Faria, dropping four sets total amid potential fatigue. No head-to-head exists, with Rocha's first-serve dominance clashing against Safiullin's return aggression.
