In the ATP Challenger Rome round of 32 on outdoor clay, No. 212 Stefanos Sakellaridis holds a ranking edge over No. 254 Henri Squire in their first head-to-head matchup, reflecting trader consensus on the 21-year-old Greek's upward trajectory. Sakellaridis peaked at a career-high No. 210 last week after reaching the Madrid Challenger round of 16, where he fell to Toby Samuel, buoyed by his maiden Challenger title in Delhi this February. Squire, a 25-year-old German with a potent 6-5 serve, posted mixed clay results recently, including a straight-sets loss to Jacopo Vasami in Monza and an earlier defeat to Sumit Nagal in Naples. Both big men (Sakellaridis 6-6) favor baseline rallies, with no reported injuries and mild April weather in Rome unlikely to intervene.
