Mercedes holds a commanding lead in the 2026 F1 Constructors’ Championship, reflected in the 92% implied probability, driven by an early-season surge under the new technical regulations that delivered multiple wins, poles, and consistent points from Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. The team’s power unit and initial car package created a substantial gap, now around 87 points over Ferrari after roughly a dozen races. Ferrari has narrowed the deficit through targeted upgrades and strong results from Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, while McLaren’s recent podiums and wins highlight ongoing development competition. Reliability setbacks and slower upgrade pace have tempered Mercedes’ margin, yet the points buffer leaves limited realistic paths for challengers absent major late-season swings in form or mechanical issues.
