Samuel Vincent Ruggeri holds the clear ranking edge entering this M15 clay-court opener in Kursumlijska Banja, Serbia, as the higher-ranked Italian right-hander with an ATP standing near 713 compared to Ali Habib’s career-high mark of 933. Ruggeri brings recent exposure to the venue series, though he fell in straight sets in the prior M15 edition there. Habib, the British player, has posted solid ITF results on the surface but steps into a tougher draw against a more established Futures-level competitor. Clay favors extended baseline exchanges, movement, and tactical variety, areas where recent form and physical freshness from the short turnaround can shift momentum in these best-of-three matches.
