Petra Marcinko, ranked No. 74 with a 6-11 YTD mark, arrives with momentum from a WTA 125 semifinal in Oeiras last week and a dominant 6-0, 7-5 first-round upset over Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva here yesterday, showcasing her improving clay form. No prior head-to-head exists; Bencic's experience tempers Marcinko's underdog surge, though the teenager's recent wins highlight upset potential on the outdoor clay at Caja Magica amid mild spring conditions.
