Horacio Cifuentes' stunning 3-2 upset victory over world No. 13 Jingkun Liang in ITTF Men's World Cup Macao 2026 group stage play drives near-unanimous trader consensus at 99.9% implied probability for Cifuentes. Liang, fresh off a 47-day lumbar injury layoff earlier this month, captured the first game 11-5 and fourth 11-4 with powerful forehand attacks but faltered in decisive rallies, losing 7-11, 8-11, and 8-11 amid Cifuentes' resilient defense and counter-spinning. The No. 79-ranked Argentine's comeback from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits showcases stylistic matchup edges. While official ITTF confirmation solidifies the outcome, rare scenarios like scoring disputes or protests could theoretically prompt review.
