Amazon shares closed August 12 at $267.28 after a 1.8% decline from the prior session, pulling back from the recent $287 high reached in early August amid broader profit-taking in large-cap tech. Strong second-quarter results released July 30—with revenue of $200.6 billion and adjusted EPS of $1.97 both exceeding estimates, driven by 28% AWS growth—continue to underpin sentiment, alongside analyst targets averaging above $320. Mixed institutional flows and a $3 trillion market-cap milestone earlier in the month highlight ongoing positioning ahead of the next trading session, where short-term momentum, options activity, and equity-index levels will likely determine whether the stock finishes above key thresholds. No major company-specific catalysts are scheduled for August 13.

If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No".
Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding.
If Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50.
For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange.
If the specified day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price.
