The first-round doubles matchup at the 2026 Zug Open Challenger on outdoor clay pits local wild cards Mika Brunold and Patrick Schoen against the more experienced pairing of Siddhant Banthia and Alexander Donski. Brunold, a Swiss player with a career-high singles ranking near 289, and college standout Schoen benefit from home support and familiarity with the red-clay conditions at Tennisclub Zug. Banthia and Donski, who captured the Oeiras Challenger doubles title earlier in 2026 and hold stronger doubles rankings around the top 100-120, bring recent match play from the European summer swing and proven team chemistry. The draw opens on July 19, with no reported injuries or withdrawals affecting either side.
