Borna Gojo (ATP 137), fresh off a Morelia Challenger title run with straight-set wins over Ficovich in the final and Mejia in semis last week on hard courts, faces 19-year-old qualifier Rei Sakamoto (161) in their first head-to-head during Oeiras 3 Challenger's opening round on outdoor red clay. Sakamoto advanced through local qualifying after a recent Marrakech clay qualifier loss and a competitive Miami main-draw defeat to Kovacevic, highlighting his rising potential but limited experience. Gojo's baseline consistency and higher ranking give trader consensus a slight edge, though Sakamoto's speed poses upset risk in mild Portuguese spring conditions; no injury reports alter lineups.
