In the ATP Barcelona quarterfinals on clay, 22-year-old Hamad Medjedovic carries momentum from his biggest career win, upsetting No. 3 seed Alex de Minaur 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets during the round of 16—his second Top 10 victory and first on clay. The Serbian, ranked around No. 83 with a career-high of 57, has won convincingly through qualifiers and this breakthrough. Nuno Borges, No. 52 with a peak of 30, advanced steadily by defeating Adrian Mannarino and Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-3, 7-6(4), drawing on his solid clay record (career 25-27 ATP level). No head-to-head exists; trader consensus leans toward Medjedovic's form amid Borges' experience on the slower surface.
